You will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, ensuring efficiency and delivering value across all stages of construction. Working closely with the CFO and Construction Director, you will help us to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

- Cost Management: Prepare and manage cost budgets, Predicted Final Accounts (PFA), and ongoing financial tracking to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Tendering & Procurement: Prepare tender packages, analyse subcontractor quotations, and lead pre-let interviews to select the best value contractors.
- Subcontractor Management: Place and issue orders, oversee monthly valuations, payments, and variations while maintaining robust cost controls.
- Value Engineering: Work collaboratively with design and construction teams to identify and implement cost-saving solutions without compromising quality.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on costs, cash flow, and budget forecasts, identifying potential overruns early.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, helping to build and grow the QS team as the business scales.

Employee Specification
Experience & qualifications
- A degree in quantity surveying or commercial management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years post qualification experience, ideally in residential housing developments
- Line management experience
