Entertain the family this Easter

Unsure how to keep the children occupied over the Easter holidays? Here are some fantastic Easter-themed activities to entertain the whole family across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Easter in Wonderland at Bluebells Dairy

From April 9th to 18th, fall down the rabbit hole with Bluebells Dairy at their Easter in Wonderland event! Every child’s ticket includes an Easter Egg Hunt gift, and there is a range of activities to get involved in from live lambing to a queen of hearts pantomime.

A visit to Bluebells Dairy is a fantastic day out for all the family. For more information on the Easter event, including tickets, visit the Bluebells Dairy website.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hardwick Hall

Treat your children to a self-led, classic easter egg hunt with the National Trust at Hardwick Hall. Running from April 9th to 24th, the trail gives you the chance to explore the parkland and gardens, completing challenges and finding clues along the way.

The Easter egg hunt costs £3 per child (plus admission) and includes access to the trail, a pencil and a chocolate egg.

Hardwick Hall provides an excellent day out from both The Orchards and Scarsdale Green developments. No pre-booking is necessary for this event. More information can be found on the Hardwick Hall website here.

Bonkers Bunny Bonanza at the Heights of Abraham

If you have never visited the Heights of Abraham before, Easter is the perfect time! Follow the bonkers bunny trail to spot bunnies holding letters. Work out the magic word to receive a chocolate treat from the Easter Bunny at the summit.

Alongside the Easter trail, the Heights of Abraham offers a scenic cable car journey, amazing viewpoints, historic caverns, and ancient woodlands and is close to our Tansley Gardens development! You can buy tickets here.

Easter Eggcitement Canal Cruises

Cruise along the Chesterfield Canal this Easter weekend with themed cruises running from Tapton Lock, Hollingwood and Shireoaks. Running throughout the day on April 16th, 17th and 18th there are a range of cruises to join, including the Shireoaks Easter Bunny cruise.
