The Old Farmstead - Woodall Homes

Introducing The Old Farmstead at Bulcote

Introducing The Old Farmstead at Bulcote

We have officially launched our latest development, The Old Farmstead, situated on the historic Bulcote Corporation Model Farm.

This development is a former Grade II Listed model farm, which is being transformed into a luxurious residential community. The development will comprise of two sections: The Contemporary Collection with 41 beautifully designed new build homes, and The Heritage Collection with 24 characterful residences within the converted farmstead buildings.

The Old Farmstead, which is just a short commute from Nottingham city centre, is launching a range of one-bedroom to five-bedroom homes making it a stunning development for a range of people to call home. It is launching initially with nine five-bedroom homes, The Barleycroft, with the other property types to follow.

The Barleycroft is a 2.5-storey detached home, with a grand entrance hall, private lounge, cloakroom, open-plan kitchen, dining and family space on the ground floor. The kitchen has been carefully-designed for everyday life and entertaining, and includes premium German cabinetry, Neff appliances, and an orangery-style roof lantern.

The home also includes other luxury features such as bi-fold doors that open onto your private landscaped garden with a patio, lawn and wildflower meadow. On the top floor, there is a luxurious primary suite with a walk-in wardrobe, en-suite and a Velux balcony window.

The other three double bedrooms, one with its own en-suite, and single bedroom are on the first floor alongside a family bathroom finished with premium Porcelanosa tiling, chrome towel rails, and spa-style dual shower heads.

All of the properties on this development are being built with a modern lifestyle in mind, while still retaining the historic character of its location. The area offers an idyllic countryside landscape with far-reaching views, country walks and cycle routes that give this development a real sense of tranquility and luxury.

The aim of the proposal is to enhance the character and setting of the Conservation area, and preserve the openness of the surrounding countryside. The development will use energy-efficient construction to change the use of the historic farm buildings to secure their long-term viability, and ensure there is a continued investment into the historic core of the site, without compromising their heritage value.

As part of the development, a community building located in the Old Dairy will also be created to provide a welcoming space for residents and local groups to gather, connect, and build a strong sense of community.

This brand-new development launched last Thursday at The Anchor pub in Gunthorpe, where we were able to talk to local people and visitors alike about our new homes, alongside William H Brown, who are the estate agents listing the development.

Our sales manager, Cassie Barnes, said: “We are super excited to have the opportunity to change the use of these historic farm buildings and create a true sense of community in the area.

“Our main aim is to preserve the character of the building, and bring it back to life thoughtfully and carefully. We look forward to seeing the work commence on this site, and creating a modern, yet distinctive, place for people to call home.”
